8/11/2018 | LBD: The Long Black Dress

Long or little, every girl needs to have an LBD in their wardrobe! I personally have several black dresses of all lengths lined up and ready to be worn. The LBD is not for funerals anymore ladies! You can wear them for any occasion and in any season! Wear them with a cute pair of heels or sandals for date night. Or throw a blazer on over it for the office. No matter what you wear it with, you will always look put together in an LBD. 

Wearing an LBD is practically effortless! No real fuss is needed in order to look and feel great while wearing one. That’s why the LBD is such a staple in my closet! Just add some simple jewelry and cute shoes and you are ready for your day or night out on the town! I styled my dress here for date night, so I paired it with a small clutch that came with my Street Level bag, and a simple pair of white sandals. Letting the dress make the statement, I wanted my accessories to be simple: minimalistic earrings; a simple gold necklace; a trendy pair of sunnies; and my small clutch. Just a few minimal touches to an LBD is all you need. That way, you stand out in the dress, and not the dress standing all over you. 

I love all the details that this dress has to offer. This dress isn’t quite floor length, so it’s easy to walk around in and not having to worry about it dragging on the ground. The added ruffle on the hemline adds just the right amount of flare without being to much of a distraction; especially from any cute shoes you decide to wear! I’m currently really into a square neckline, so this dress definitley fits the bill, allowing me to feel comfortable without feeling to exposed. My favorite part of my body is my back, so the low back on this dress certainly helps me show that off. And the bow, gives it that sweet feminine touch to tie it all together (pun intended)! Since we are in the dead heat of summer right now, this dress is made out of 100% cotton so it’s incredibly light and breathable! Just what you  need in order to stay cool on hot summer nights like this one.
